Fencing and Anticipating Spring
Exciting kitchen overhauls aside, we also have a major spring project on the horizon - fencing in the backyard! It's become necessary, thanks to this lovely addition:
The back of our property already has a metal fence, which is in reasonably good shape. It needs to be repainted, but that can wait. We made a temporary fence out of stakes and chicken wire to get us through the winter, but it won't be enough to contain a rambunctious Poodle for too much longer. After creeping on a lot of other peoples' fences and Googling a lot, we know what we want it to look like. And we did collect a few quotes from highly recommended local contractors before realizing that we could to it more economically ourselves. I've poorly Photoshopped an idea of what we'd like our fence project to look like:
Maybe hiring someone to dig all those post holes is still in the cards though. Fingers crossed!
